By this point, it's obvious that the highest quality viewing experience is offered by a large screen at a very high resolution. For those who are building a home theater, this is the obvious choice. This is not the only choice, however.

Because HDTV is the way in which all television will be broadcast in the future, there are many models of HD compatible televisions available, in many different sizes. The choice of choosing the best HDTV can be difficult. It's not necessary to take up half of one's one-bedroom apartment with a large screen television to get the most enjoyment out of one's viewing experience.

A good way to determine the best HDTV for your room is to measure how far the television will be placed from the couch or chairs from which it will be viewed and to visit a store to see which models offer a clear picture from that distance. This will give you some idea of the size range that is best for your own home. Those big screens certainly are beautiful, but they look best in a big room. Remember that, with the incredible quality of image offered by HDTV, the clarity of the image itself is just as involving at a smaller size as it is at a larger size.  Most HDTV's offer the best image quality when viewed head-on. You'll want to make sure that your screen isn't so large that chairs and couches will be positioned off to the side where the viewing experience will suffer.
